The James Swanwick Show

Time remains undefeated. I'm in Oslo, Norway today and I just finished looking at 3 incredible Viking ships that have been unearthed. The Vikings, who were once a prominent force, are now just an ancient memory of the past… So just do it, because life will soon be an ancient memory for all of us.  Enjoy the show. Hello! I’m joining you today from Copenhagen, Denmark. And I’m here with an old friend of mine, Jeannie Mortensen, who I knew as a Hollywood correspondent back in Los Angeles. We met in 2003 when we were interviewing Matt Damon for the movie “Stuck on You.” Because I was wondering through Scandinavia, I reached out and was happy to reconnect with Jeannie, since it’s been almost 9 years. Listen in as we walk through the beautiful city and talk about our past lives in the entertainment industry, why she decided to move back home, and what she’s up to now.  Enjoy the show! Do you feel weighed down by the amount of things in your life? Is your mind racing  to keep up with your busy schedule? Well, today is all about how to remove the clutter from your brain and your physical space. We’ve all got clutter floating around…whether it’s worrying about business projects, what to cook for dinner, or the resent date you went on. And then there’s the physical clutter, such as a messy room, disorder in the kitchen, and files scattered all over the desk. Interestingly some say the clutter in ones one house/personal space directly mirrors the clutter and chaos going on internally. So today I’m happy to welcome Miriam Ortiz y Pino onto the show. She is a certified professional organizer, and has been helping people de-clutter their overwhelming lives for over a decade. From working with artists, entrepreneurs, politicians, professional, and multimillionaires, she’s seen amazing transformations in people’s day-to-day lives. Enjoy the show! When was the last time you reconnected with a great childhood friend? My European journey continues from Wales, as I’ve recently flown into Manchester, England. And today I met up with a good childhood friend, Mark Rutherford, who I went to high school with back in Brisbane, Australia. Mark and I reminisce on the fun times we shared back in the day, how we took different paths in life, and much more. Enjoy the show! Wake up! Do you have big plans for life, but never seem to put in the effort to make them happen? Here’s the thing…we all want to lose weight, make more money, meet the right woman or man, and turn that great idea into a business. But for some reason, no matter how deeply you want a better life, history always repeats itself. Joining me today is my good friend Mark Dhamma, who’s going to teach us how to make the shift from wanting a better life, to fully taking action and responsibility. Mark is a positive psychologist, celebrity personal trainer, and peak performance coach here in Los Angeles. In our conversation Mark reveals his big wake up moment in life, when his father suddenly passed when he was 21 years old. At the time he was not working in a field he loved, and was actually dealing drugs to make extra cash. But something shifted for him in that moment… He began to realize that death can come at any moment, and it’s only a matter of time before we’re gone. Unfortunately many people don’t realize how precious life is until something comes along and shakes their world. But is doesn’t have to be that way. Listen in and enjoy the show. Can you run a marathon with little to no training?  I’m coming to you from Oslo Norway, where I just finished running a spur of the moment half marathon with two new friends. My final time ended up being 1:57, not bad for no training! But in reality, you don’t need to run long distances to prepare for a marathon.  Enjoy the show!
