The James Swanwick Show

When was the last time you reconnected with a great childhood friend? My European journey continues from Wales, as I’ve recently flown into Manchester, England. And today I met up with a good childhood friend, Mark Rutherford, who I went to high school with back in Brisbane, Australia. Mark and I reminisce on the fun times we shared back in the day, how we took different paths in life, and much more. Enjoy the show! Wake up! Do you have big plans for life, but never seem to put in the effort to make them happen? Here’s the thing…we all want to lose weight, make more money, meet the right woman or man, and turn that great idea into a business. But for some reason, no matter how deeply you want a better life, history always repeats itself. Joining me today is my good friend Mark Dhamma, who’s going to teach us how to make the shift from wanting a better life, to fully taking action and responsibility. Mark is a positive psychologist, celebrity personal trainer, and peak performance coach here in Los Angeles. In our conversation Mark reveals his big wake up moment in life, when his father suddenly passed when he was 21 years old. At the time he was not working in a field he loved, and was actually dealing drugs to make extra cash. But something shifted for him in that moment… He began to realize that death can come at any moment, and it’s only a matter of time before we’re gone. Unfortunately many people don’t realize how precious life is until something comes along and shakes their world. But is doesn’t have to be that way. Listen in and enjoy the show. Can you run a marathon with little to no training?  I’m coming to you from Oslo Norway, where I just finished running a spur of the moment half marathon with two new friends. My final time ended up being 1:57, not bad for no training! But in reality, you don’t need to run long distances to prepare for a marathon.  Enjoy the show! When was the last time you traveled alone? I’m currently in Bergen, which is a city on the west coast of Norway.  And I’m about to take a ride on the Bergen railway, known as one of the most exciting and beautiful train rides in the world. No other train ride between two cities in Europe is at a higher altitude than the one between Bergen and Oslo. Linking Norway’s two main cities, it has unbelievable views of the Hardangervidda, Europe’s highest mountainous plateau. Listen in as I travel and share this amazing trip through the beautiful region of Norway. Let me know what you think on twitter and instagram @jamesswanwick and www.jamesswanwick.com
