The James Swanwick Show

Today I’m joining you from the Bulletproof coffee shop in Santa Monica. It’s the opening night of Dave Asprey’s new store, which is looking to revolutionize the way people eat food and drink coffee. Dave calls it the first ever café trying to put itself out of business, because he’s selling food and coffee that makes you so full you won’t have any cravings for another 4-6 hours. But this is what real nourishing food is supposed to do…. You wont find any croissants, doughnuts, bagels, or pastry’s here. Only bulletproof approved coffee and dishes. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, be sure to come by and see this amazing new coffee shop for yourself! Let me know what you think on instagram and twitter @jamesswanwick   www.jamesswanwick.com

Today I’m joining you from my West Hollywood home, as I make my way to the beautiful Runyon Canyon. And running beside me is my good friend Dan Ilic, who’s an Australian born comedian, writer, and filmmaker. Listen in as we discuss his road to success and topics such as health, nutrition, relationships, and what he considers to be the good life.  Enjoy the show! You must come meet me in person at Tai Lopez's Mentor Conference this Sunday, April 26 in Santa Monica, CA.  Click this link, sign up, grab your ticket: http://bit.ly/1IoizWl

I will see you there.

What is the benefit of attending an in person conference? Why not just read a book, watch a video, or practice something on your own? Well, according to top neuroscientists it’s shown that humans learn best when they are able to interact with their environment, and see and touch their surroundings. Not only that, but conferences provide the space for so many amazing opportunities. For example, you could meet potential businesses partners, investors, affiliates, and many like-minded people.  Enjoy the show! Focus. Are you trying to lose weight? Are you trying to achieve a certain goal? Are you looking to transfer out of your current job? Or maybe you’re trying to start your own business? No matter what your goal is, focusing is the answer…And no matter how long you’re “to do list” may be, it’s important to focus on ONE particular thing first. It’s easy to get distracted and jump from task to task, without ever finishing the one goal. Listen in, and learn how to start and stick with your goal to the finish. How do we build habits that stick? What makes us fall off track, and how can we prevent that from happening in the first place? Well, today we are talking all about habits…. And how tiny habits can lead to big success down the road. Joining us on the show today is the king of habits, James Clear. He is a high performance coach, entrepreneur, weightlifter, writer, and travel photographer. James’s believes building successful habits is not about managing time, but more about managing energy. When should you say you are “sorry?” Too many people don’t like to admit their own mistakes…they either blame circumstances, they blame someone else, or just don’t say anything at all and remain silent. But that can be a slippery slope, and possibly lead to creating resentment in other people down the road. That’s why it’s so important to over communicate. Even if that means saying you made a mistake and swallowing your pride for a moment, it’s far better than sitting still. Today I want to share with you a story that happened recently, involving a product of mine.  And the moral behind the story being, when something is not right, voice your opinion and take action. Taking responsibility is far better than anything else. Enjoy the show! Let me know what you think on twitter and instagram @jamesswanwick     www.jamesswanwick.com
